ACCEPTANCE RATE NOTE: Some journals have a lower acceptance rate than
Academic Exchange Quarterly. However, this rate can be misleading, especially if
one considers the number of pages allocated to a specific issue or even the
journal's affiliation.

For example, if the Summer 2002 issue of AEQ had been restricted to 97 pages, rather
than 194, several worthy articles would have had to go unpublished, and the
acceptance rate for the issue would have been reduced to as low as 25%. Given the
increasing number of articles recommended for publication through AEQ's double-blind
peer review process as well as the journal's goal to enhance colleagues' knowledge
of the theory and practice of teaching on a multidisciplinary basis, we consider it
appropriate to expand the length of our quarterly issues and enhance our mission by
publishing all articles recommended on their merit. Fall 2003 issue had 330 pages
- the largest number of pages in a singlee volume in the journal's history.

Academic Exchange Quarterly is 100% self-supported, so there is no need or pressure
to pre-allocate any of the journal's space to subscribers, sponsors, or corporate
owners. For instance, if an affiliated journal has a reported
