Research on Green Attitudes among Educators
Yukiko Inoue, University of Guam, Guam
ABSTRACT
This paper reports on research using a survey questionnaire that examined the attitudes
of graduate students (many of whom were public school teachers) toward Going Green in
the household as a beginning step, with a focus on promoting green awareness among students
so that they could become part of the sustainability movement. The questionnaire revealed
that respondents were strongly interested in sustainable living. Their attitudes toward
sustainability were overall positive and serious as well. Educational implications for
sustainable practices are also discussed in this paper.
