Teaching Ethics and Leadership Theory
Steve Harrist, Oklahoma State University            Julie Koch, Oklahoma State University ABSTRACT In this paper, the authors propose that leadership theory and instruction should flow from ethical theory. They argue that scholarship and instruction in the leadership field should begin with ethics. The purpose of this paper is to call readers’ attention to some important philosophical arguments that can inform the relationship between ethics and leadership theory and how this relationship should shape teaching in the field of leadership studies.
