Jacob, Southeastern Louisiana University ABSTRACT Communication modes are determined by the culture into which a person is socialized. Lack of knowledge of the cultures of others often leads to miscommunications which have far-reaching adverse effects. It is imperative that teachers learn to communicate effectively with those with diverse styles to help themselves and future generations.
