ABSTRACT
This paper reports the results of an international study designed to reveal
the ways in which PBL is being used in Geography. It focuses on the risks as
much as the benefits that students and instructors experience with this method
in courses and assignments, and attempts to assess these in the wider context
in which problem-based practice is used in the discipline.
