Community Health students need to apply the knowledge they receive in
the classroom to improve their skills in delivery of health promotions
for the community’s benefit. The purpose of this study was to develop
a capstone course in a community health curriculum that would require
students to learn to assess community needs, plan a health promotion,
market their product, present and evaluate their community health
programs. An additional goal was to evaluate the students’ perceived
learning as compared to other courses students were taking or had taken.
