Teachers Blossom into New Leadership Roles

Many school administrators envision increasing their district’s leadership
capacity by developing teacher leaders to support educational reform.
I examined how teachers increase their leadership while participating in a
leadership institute. This article describes four patterns of teacher
leadership and suggests some best practices for increasing teachers’
leadership capacity.
