Focus:
Struggling to read has no boundaries as it plagues students of every socio-economic
status, ethnographic background, and geographic area. When combined with the notion
that reading serves as a foundation to all subject areas, it is a necessity that we
delve deeper into how classroom teachers and specialists remediate reading
difficulties of students of all ages. Areas of particular interest in this issue
include:
- K-12 reading strategies
- Small group instruction
- ESL learners
- Suburban/Urban/Rural students
- Reading disabilities
- Assessment/Evaluation
- Intrinsic/Extrinsic motivators
- Pre-service teacher tutoring
- Student-student instruction
Who Should Submit:
Submissions are welcome from researchers, classroom teachers, reading
specialists, clinicians, teacher educators, and graduate students as
well as others who are directly engaged in the teaching or researching
of reading at the elementary, middle, and/or secondary levels.
Please identify your submission with keyword: READING

any time until the end of November 2008;
